I saw one .... Blue GF parked in MIRA Car Park

Just back from a visit to Motor Industry Research Association (MIRA) near Nuneaton and saw a mica blue GF with non-standard alloys registration ????PUB (I think) in the main car park. Somebody who works there I guess ...

Visit was to see a demo of a Bowler Wildcat doing some unmanned driving - also going round the test track was an electric Lotus Elise, the new four-door Jaguar XF .... nice day out.

Chris - I thought it was somebody who was on here, as the car looked strangely familiar - and seeing it in your signature is obviously where my vague memory was from.

Do you park it in that far corner so as many people see it as possible in the hope of getting "spotted" ....

I was there as part of a small open day invited by BAE Systems who are developing it as an autonomous vehicle, to look at developing ideas for more sophisticated control / sensing, such as optimised driving (e.g. deciding when it is best to emergency stop to avoid an obstacle or if it can just be "swerved" around) .... it'll be interesting if we get some work out of it.

Nonsense, I've been allowed out on my own for at least 2 days already this year ...

I head up the Customer Facilities department at MIRA - we're the people that look after customers based on-site ... like BAE Systems for example ! And yes, I choose that parking spot for maximum exposure !! Finally it's worked
