Rear grille colour was created by Chris Robinson
Hmm, I never know whether it's grill or grille .. anyway ...
The previous owner of my car painted the rear grill(e) silver, for some reason. Obviously seemed like a good idea at the time.
Now I want to bring it back to it's former black glory, but here's the question - is it gloss black, matt black, or that great "sitting on the fence" colour that is satin black ?!?!
Does it really matter (well, it obviously does or I wouldn't have asked the question !!) ?

Yeh, i'd agrre with IanB - more of a "weathered" satin finish. But I like the idea of the coloured grille though!

Well, you can paint yours any colour you want - mine's going to be black !!
I guess sitting on the fence with Satin isn't so bad !

Chris, I see your car is bumperless, is she staying like this?
If your interested I have a set of original 1300 quarter bumpers and mounts, you could sit on the fence and paint them satin too, or maybe pink

Hi Iain,
Yes, she's staying bumperless ... unless a good set of 1300 bumpers comes along at the right price
What incredibly astronomical figure were you looking at (PM me if you want), and what condition are they in ?
This would have to be a WDK* transaction.

Chris, for some reason I cant PM you?
Anyone else coming up with an error?
I bought the bumpers 3 months ago for the not too astronomical figure of £55.
2 are in very good condition (sand down and paint)
1 is in good condition (treat some surface rust , sand and paint)
1 is in below average condition (welding and prep required but not totally rotten)
My plans have now changed so really just want most of my money back, please don't buy them thinking you can bolt them on and go, two of them need a weekend of tlc in the garage and obviously the mountings need modified (I have a step by step guide of how to do this). I don't think I'm asking too much compared to the price some sets go for.
There are some pictures on my photobucket page:

Good luck getting them past SWMBO*
I've also got a 1300 front grille if your interested (3 actually, so you can take your pick!)
Regards,
Iain
