As for restoration the chassis appears straight. There are numerous large holes in the floor pan. Inner middle and outer sills have dissolved for about an inch or so from the floor pan up. Front suspension pickup points are very poor. front valance under the plastic trim has dissolved. rear panel all the metal has gone on the lower 3 inches. Rear boot floor good and engine bay not too bad. Rear rowers not too bad. Inside rear weel arches very poor and no longer connected to rear wings. Doors need a lot of welding but repairable. front boot floor needs quite a bit of work. Seats totally rusted to runners. Interior filthy. one door card good one no use. One bumper has holes in it. Others not too bad. Petrol tank and coolant pipes have been squashed (consistant with scrapyard damage). Upper rear wings have large holes. The car has been jacked at point front of rear wheels and so have have collapsed Thats at first glance but you know how rust is much worse than it first appears.

Despite all the damage I now understand how over engineered the X1/9 was I thought it would fall apart but chassis still seems stiff. door gaps are as is after all the winching jacking pulling dropping and draging. It's still bloody heavy after all is removed.
