hi, i'm kev who bought randonguy's x1/9
i've had a secret love for these since i read peter winsor's long term test on his 1300 in autocar in the late '70s but it was one of those things that i just never got round to making more of.
untill 4 years ago i owned the garage in llanerchymedd, anglesey (so yes francis you do know me), now wiht no mortgage to worry baout i pass my time in somerfield for a stress free life. whilst in the garage i worked on a few x1/9s and each time found an excuse for a (long) test drive and each time i thought i'd have to get one. now i'm not working on cars i have no excuse so randomguy ended up making probably the easiest sale ever.
looking forward to pestering people on here and meeting other owners.

Welcome Kev, and I`m sure you wont regret becoming an owner, - but expect to spend more time under/around the car, than actually driving it!
- (but I suppose you already know that having worked on others before!)

Welcome Kev, why do these cars get under our skin like this, it always seems to be a "love at first sight " sort of thing! You're definitely ahead of the game though if you can work on 'em yourself! Enjoy your car!
Cheers,
Nige

Croeso i'r clwb!
Welcome to the club. North Wales is becoming ovecrowded with x1/9's I'm only used to seeing mine and Gomer's collection.
When I find a new patch of rust I just drive past gomer's yellow 1300 and it cheers me up no end!
Had a wonderful drive yesterday up to Capel Curig and down Nantperis pass - I only popped down to the local spar for some dishwashing tablets but was away for over an hour.
I've just finished converting the bumpers on my 1500 to 1300 style and needed a run to test them out.
Hwyl
Kevin (Another one!)
