Isn't the weather great (at the mo). Plenty of opportunity to ride with the top off (the car, not Kim).

Really looking forward to the shows this year - had such a blast in 2006, that being our first year of owning an X1/9. The National was a highlight, especially meeting so many new friends.
You may recall a small furry associate member made famous by Ewan at the National?! Well Ewan, Beartone is all geared up for the year to come in his new designer clothes.

You will find him sat on the front of the car at every show we attend, available to answer any questions you may have for him

See you all at the shows - tin of polish at the ready.
From Andy and Kim (and Beartone).

Definitely. We have already booked a room at the hotel and can't wait to repeat last year. Beartone has booked a suite.
Let's hope we get the same sort of weather as last year. You know us ... we'll have to roof off as much as we can.
See you in May, if not before.

Love the new duds & certainly MR Cool I dug this one out of the archives. My best mate Carl and I, on the first drive to Italy in 1993 in YMS. That brings back some good memories. If you look closely, you might even see Nessie taking a holiday on the front bonnet, in the middle of Switzerland.
Coast to coast....I almost forgot. Anyone else from Scotland up for this one? I've stuck the details on our regional web page so a show of hands please. I missed this last year due to work comits but now have the time, the money and hopefully in a few days, the machinery for the job. I'll have to think about maybe booking a hotel, B&B maybe. What hotels are you guys using? Is it big, small, quaint or a downright adveture?

You'll have to introduce Nessie to Beartone.
We are staying in a Brewers Fayre hotel on the Saturday night (5th). The details are :
Queen Elizabeth II Country Park
Woodhorn, Ashington
Northumberland
NE63 9AT
Tel : 0870 752 2235
I think a double room is about £50 (but don't quote me on that).
Really looking forward to the trip. Let's hope the weather is kind to us (for a change).

Anymore info on the run? Where are you all starting from? I should have a word with P&L I suppose. Obviously starting on the west and driving across to the East on Saturday then back on Sunday. Sounds like a superb wee weekend X1/9ing. 27th today so will be able to tax the exy on Saturday......ahh, nearly back on the road once more. The season of Italian metal approaches

On Sunday I think we are heading off to Whitley Bay, or somewhere near there.
Not sure how many cars are going yet, but there will definitely be ourselves, and Phil and Lorraine.

I have a draft of the itinerary somewhere, just too lazy to dig it out. I had a look at the info on NW page and now know roughly where the run is going. Looks like lots of fun.

I have just checked the events listing and the date on the NW description is 4th May (Friday) and the in the Scottish region is 6th May (Sunday). Not having been on this before - it looks like there are things planned for both the Sat/Sun.
