Now I know they are not our favourite people, but they have recently discovered the internet, They have had an informative web site for a while which is as dry as the inland revenue site, But it is now useful! Yes I kid you not, well for a couple of particular activities.
I have been waiting for a v5c for my blue basket case for about 3 months and was about to call when i was told by a mate you can check online!
You can do a vehicle search
Go to the DVLA home page and click on Vehicle Enquiry
Input reg and make and it tells you some nice too know info, inc the cars emissions and road tax and / or sorn status.
It informed me that my v5c doc has been issued in Aug, so for a change, a positive change.
And the other nice to know? you can apply for your road tax / sorn online!
Again, from the DVLA home page and click on Apply for a tax disc NOW!
Yes not exciting but may prove very helpfull for some!
All the best

How interesting. I checked the status of my first car, a Fiat 127 in Blue way back in 1985 and its still on the road. How about that. I knew it was a good car. I loved it anyway !!!!!

Hi folks
Me too!
A few of my old cars have passed to the other side.
I've always fancied knowing what happened to them though - great link!
Cheers
Simon

That's good fun. It seems every car I owned is now scrap. My next door heighbour when staying with my folks had an X1/9 and thats what hooked me . Typed it in and it seems its dead. Same year as my car!
