Club Stats & Press Info

I'm trying to get some club discounts from a dealer but I'm rather at a loss when trying to sell the club as the statistics look like they were updated back in 1996! (see "about the club / statistics")

Do we have any useful press info for prospective advertisers eg, club membership / active club membership / membership profile eg age / have money to spend etc etc / newsletter frequency / distribution. I know I'm going to be asked these questions when I meet and I could do with not looking a complete lemon! OR.. do we have someone on the committee who deals with discounts and the like?? Thanks!

Blimey! :shock: Can't believe no-one from the committee hasn't read this posting. Thought I'd do a global posting just in case the membership secretary / PR secretary was on hols / away on business ... Right, I'm off to meet the dealer tomorrow (Fri) so ANY up-to-date info would really be useful (like, err, tonight!)

Technically as i'm an RO i think i'm on the committee! I can't really be of much help Mark, only to say, maybe you'll have to wing it a bit & use a dose of poetic licence, give him a glowing account of our membership & frequency of mags etc & see what he'll do by the way of discount. Maybe we can back up your stats with some written blurb later!! Don't worry about looking like a Lemon, he probably thinks that you are already one due to owning an X!

As Frosty says, Satnam's the man (Advertising & Publicity Officer) - a phone call to either of us would have alerted us to your urgent requirements - sorry.

Hi Gomer I'll send all the info/ammunition to Satnam when I've written the article for the mag - that will show them in a very good light so more chance of getting good deals for all our members? I'm pretty pants at negotiating stuff so my pitch didn't go too well although I was only dealing with the front desk - no management on site when I visited Do reckon there's potential for club discounts. Will continue this thread direct with Satnam.
