Calling all TVS members!

Hi, For all those that have seen my name in the new mag, (& for those that havn't) I am the new RO, (my Wife hasn't stopped laughing yet about my new title!). Apparently this area has a good number of members that are lying dormant somewhere! In just over a year of ownership i've only seen one Exy in Sussex! It has fallen to me to coax you out in your X1/9s to meet like minded people to share a beer & natter about your cars. Let's be honest, the Missus might sit & listen about your targa top or shiney new knob (gear), but it's not the same as having a chat with someone who actually has an example of this great little car is it? So let's get out there & enjoy!

I have got a couple of ideas for meets but i'm new to the car club scene so please let me have YOUR ideas regarding meets, venues etc. I hope to get my club Email site sorted soon, i'm not great with these things so please bear with me!

I aim to get us back to Brooklands (with Stu's help i hope),next year hopefully with our biggest turnout.

So make it your goal that you will at least get to one meet next summer, you know it's better than boring the Wife! (apologies to all the lady X1/9 owners!)

Nice one Nige! - even though I'm a LSE imposter I will try my bestest to wheel out one of my 1300's to one of your meets next year... as for the meets why not try and centre it around an activity eg go karting or something as well as kicking X1/9 tyres in a car park? - id definitely be up for that...

As ex TVS RO I can confirmthat you have plenty of members gagging for meets out there !

Some ideas:

You could kick off next year with the Goodwood breakfast club italian car meet. Warren and Sarah-Jane with Peapod and Ian and myself with my Exxy attended and it turned into an unsceduled club outing as there were several other exxy club members who turned up, we even managed to bully ourselves a small corner to park the exxys together ! Not sure when / if they are going to have an italian sportscar meet but worth keeping an eye on thier website www.goodwood.co.uk
