The one on the car hasn't rusted through quite yet, but its on its way, problem is, it sounds like its blowing. It hasn't any holes in it so I guess the baffles etc are worn / rusted out inside.
I would prefer a performance replacement and would consider buying a new exhaust manifold too, to go with the K&N fitted on the intake side - ( you know, to make it breath more easily).
Any advice on which one to go for (I know there isn't much choice now), is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Browny

, manifold ? sound good ? better performance ? any idea on price, a rough figure...I have been told that Endyke Tyres in Hull have a pipe bending facility and make exhausts...
I'm the other side of the River Humber but could make enquiries if no one is closer to see if they do one offs, or if they would offer a discount on a run.
a pattern would be usefull - andybrown.1315@btinternet.com

Like the look of the auto sensation system, but at around 500 notes, its a bit out of my budget.
CASCU and Alt Autos advertise systems, anyone got one who can give me an idea of what they are like ?

Does the Auto-Sensation system use the standard 4 into 2 manifold with 2 into 1 down-pipes (similar to the Janspeed system ) or has it a different manifold.
The Auto-Sensation catalogue lists the system as 4/1 tubular exhaust manifold.
Available a long while ago for the princely sum of £249.50

I've had two X1/9s with the CSCs on.
Did have second thoughts when I had one fitted to my VS (only had a standard exhaust) because of the noise.
I went for one on the bore size and build. The standard exhausts only last about 2 years whereas the CSC is a lot better built. (Check out by lifting it!)
I would highly recomment these! You get a lovely throaty sound and brilliant overrun
