Ditto Paul, how do you do it Jim? I thought the only thing Hastings was known for is the battle, not for haemorraging mint 1300s! Those ladder stripes look original aswell & it's in blue, my fav colour! You really are a 1300 tart aren't you? If i'm ever in the market for a 1300 i'll just let you find one for me!

Congrats anyway!

Cheers,

Nige

Haha! cheers buddy! :) Yeah Hastings seems to be the epicentre of the 1300 universe, I have heard of other 1300's originating from the area!!
Of course I'm a convert to 1300's now - they are more suttle and refined than those uncouth 1500's and their riff-raff owners... ;) just kidding by the way!

Jim.

Jim,

I asked about inertia reel belts for our Yellow Beastie, but himself the Oracle states - "the 1300 bodyshell is different from the 1500 bodyshell, in that there are no points for attaching the bottom bit of the inertia reel where they should be sited"

I used to get a bit peed off when I set off in a thick coat only for the weather to turn to Tshirt level (or vice versa) and had to adjust the belts before driving home! Or even worse if Ffion (11) had been in the car as a passenger and then I went into that seat - major changes in seatbelt required!!!

Personally, I always wanted a green 1300 .......... and it's my birthday 4 weeks on Friday if you can think of a suitable present!

Lynne,

Funnily enough this weekend in Wales I will prove the Oracle wrong as my new blue 1300 has a pair of inertial reel belts fitted!! so you can take a good look at it and see if it can be done on your yellow car... (that is if there is any bodywork left to attatch the reels to! :P )

Hehe I got a nice green Matchbox 1300 that I'll quite happily pass over to you as a little treat for your birthday... ;)

Cheers,
Jim.
