So we don't repeat the same posts or provide the same advice over and over...

We could create headings for specific parts of the car.
Under faults and fixes , we could have topics for say, Doors, Seats, Gearbox, Carburation etc

Just a suggestion that would make searching easier and stops needless posts from new members as they join in the future (I'm thinking very long term here)

It does rely of course on posts being only about one subject - difficult I know when it's an X1/9 !!

Cheers and nice to see the forum again..........

It is not very difficult to create another category with any amount of forums. It would look something like this:

We are reluctant to do this unless there is a good support for it.

We would like to point out that the forum is searchable by keyword so in theory there shouldn't be any problems finding posts on a particular subject.

Not that I am against having more sections and menu's.

But it is the navigation that will be a real pain should it become too detailed.

Currently I just use the search and find what I am looking for.

Keep it Simple (.........not too many headings/subheadings) - so it's easy to search. Perhaps even back it up this time !

Why not formalise the completed threads into a seperate page of common problems? I know about the existing techno pages but they do not appear to be a live document which is updated with the new threads.
