It's a metallic red 1982, reg UGU 889X, bought off eBay:
I think it's been owned by a club member before as it came with a couple of club stickers and a key fob. Anyone recognise it or know it's history? Bodywork is not too bad, one rear wheel arch and the rear boot wells need cleaning up, although the only shiny bits of paint are the bits you can't see so at some point it'll get a respray.
I've learned about Italian electrics already, a fuse blew on the way home leaving me with no indicators. I've got a Haynes manual but neither of the wiring diagrams matched what was on the car - I guess I shouldn't have been suprised!
I've no idea of it's history so the first job is a precautionary timing belt change and a full service. After that it's on the road and I hope I get to meet up with some of you.
Cheers, Ron

Can't say as I recognise the car.
Ah yes, the electrics. Wiring diagrams are for guidance only

Always good to see new faces, any when the next thing goes wrong  we're (well, they are) here to help.

I think I did get it for a good price - it was less than I was prepared to pay.
I've no idea what the front tyres are, Tiff, I'll look in the morning and let you know.

Welcome...... You will find the club members as crazy as you might imagine, yet full of amazing bits of priceless info...... And you always get a response no matter how daft your question.... I know I have a history of posting requests for help!!
Try a T-cut before respray though eh..... could save you a few quid..

NOOOOOOO T-Cut is horrible stuff, full of ammonia, and has hardly any effect on faded metallic paint. Its the red thats faded, and its under a good few coats of clear.
