Leaking steering rack advice

Well, a successful MOT done, just a couple of advisories that didn't surprise me.
Some suspension bushes will need changing at some point as they are original but are okay for the moment.
The more pressing advisory is the weeping steering rack.

This is another task I'll undertake on the X1/9 that I haven't done before but it doesn't worry me too much!
I just wondered if anyone on here has ever done one and can offer any advice.

Is it more usual to replace the whole thing or to take it out, strip it down, rebuild it with a new seal kit and boots and then refit?
I see Claire at EurosportUK has a rebuild kit but not a complete new steering rack.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

It's a job I've never had to do, so I'm afraid I can't comment. I would think the rebuild kit is the way to go with it.
