Next two jobs lined up! was created by Gareth Lloyd
Made a few purchases today ready for some dry weekend weather!
First job, not sure if it needs doing at 57,000 miles but going to drain down the gearbox oil and renew. Bought a replacement drain plug with magnet and 3 litres of Redline MTL.
Second job, courtesy of EurosportUK, purchased new uprated EBC brake discs and pads.
I love getting dirty!
Gaz.

If you have new front discs you may find that the new EBC brake pads are too tight to fit.
If so take off the anti-squeel backing pads until the pads have worn enough to refit them.
I have a vague recollection that EBC's packing slip mentions this.

Regarding changing the gearbox oil:
The existing drain plug should have a magnet on it. Worth checking how much crud is on there when taking it out.
If there are a few filings and other junk then you could always flush it out with paraffin.
I did this to mine a few years ago.
Refilled with paraffin and took it for a very short (and I mean short!) and slow run around the street. It sounded like a bag of nails, but then when you drain the box again it should fetch out any other rubbish in there.
Upon refilling with the redline it was as smooth as silk
Once this is done, you shouldn't really need to change it again for quite some time.

I also have a small weep coming from the transmission so I’m going to put a little AT205 in there as well to see if it’ll replenish any seals.

…..that’s the transmission oil change done and replaced with Redline MTL.
Also put the correct quantity of AT-205 in there to replenish any seals as a precaution.
