New battery recommendations was created by Gareth Lloyd
I think I need to replace my battery as it's very sluggish turning over from a cold start.
If it doesn't start after a couple of attempts, I'm stuffed and have to put it on charge.
I'm looked to replace it with something that has a bit more umph to it!
Dave Moult did a recent video where he's replaced his with a 62 Ah with CCD.....(not sure what this is!)
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks,
Gaz.

.....after Googling, I think I meant CCA which I've found to be the "Cold Cranking Amps".
This is the measure of how many Amps can be delivered in a short space of time at very low temperatures.
I think from David's video, his new battery is 62 Ah (Amp Hours) with a CCA of around 450A.
It does look a beefy battery but again, would welcome any input.

Few years ago I researched a new battery for my 85 VS, the slightly bigger - the biggest battery that does fit is the Type 075 and the original smaller 063 size.
The 075 has the largest capacity and I was not so concerned with the cold cranking amps as the X1/9 engine is small and I would not be starting it at -10 or colder!!
The most important thing is to look for a decent guarantee - at least 3years, I went for a 4 year battery as that was what Costco sold in the Bosch branded one.
In My road cars, I used Yuasa 5year battteries from Halfords and so far they have been excellent. Exide are one of the very few actual manufacturers of
lead acid batteries and they are rebranded by several big names I understand!
Fit cheap batteries at your peril or look to replace them every few years.
