Our X19 is now in the garage...waiting. I am wondering what to do with it, keep it as a museum piece?, sell it to someone who wants to bring it back to full life?, sell for spares? or just sell for scrap (Hate saying that). The reason for this is mainly due to me being 70 now and, as I have a dodgy hip (and knees), means I cannot get in it or fix it.
There is a lot of emotional attachment to the car, and to X19s in general so its hard to actually move on. But Im wondering, If I do decide to to part company is there any interest by someone to buy it and do it up? Its black, 1986, officially 150,000 miles, engine was reconditioned at 130,000. I have had this one since 1989 and though it looks good it needs some welding, mainly floor pan, sills and front corners. Leak from top of brake master cylinder and clutch hydraulics need attention. Engine runs and starts easily, shocks, wheels, radiator/cooling, brakes, electrics all good....
