Resized the picture for you !
Doesn't make the subject any better though. <sniff>
Mark, I think you may need to check your signature profile as it seems to be going off the edge of the screen.

Sig sorted ... thanks WRG
Wasn't there anything useful on that car - I can see 4 wheels, side windows, engine lid etc, sob sob. Shame we don't have a club storage area for unwanted parts. HEY - there's an idea!

It took about half an hour for the breakdown guy to get away,I kept remembering little clips and washers "that could come in handy....!"

LOL!!! i was exactly the same Tiff with my spares car, filled up hundreds of jam-jars with all kinds of weird clips and screws!
I'll never forget my own spares car being taken away though all of seven years ago when I first got into X1/9's! I have a narrow driveway and the spares car was on it - the wide-boy who came to take it away just looped the sling through the roll-bar (as I had taken the rear windscreen out) and as the car was sailing through the air there was an almighty crack as the hoop bent in half around the sling and went a funny diamond shape just as it was dangling over my dad's car!! Serious brown-trouser moment time... Luckily it made it onto the back of the recovery truck.
Its sad that all of us here ultimately have played our part in the demise of the X1/9 - we all have killed off a "spares car" lurking in our closets...

It doesn't look as bad in the photo as it actually was. It was completely stripped inside, the passenger door had gone, the bootlid was the old rusty one that I swapped. Alloys were severely kerbed and had chunks missing. The bodywork that appeared to be undamaged was actually full of filler. It has gone to Brigg if anyone wants to scavenge but I think it may have gone in the crusher by now
