Hey everyone,

Huge thanks for acceptance onto the forum.
Finally dipped my toe into the classic car scene at 55 years old.
Always loved X1/9's and fitted my criteria really well. I'm in construction and work as a site manager but have what can only be described as a "healthy" interest in mechanics.
After changing a head gasket on a 2014 Ford Ka, it was like an epiphony!....I felt nothing could phase me!
I now have my 86 Bertone X1/9 and looking forward to some maintenance and fun driving!

All the best,

Gaz.

Hi Gareth,

Congratulations on buying an X1/9 ! Absolutely brilliant cars and a passionate following on here ... and an abundance of tech help and tips.

I've owned three already over the years. Seriously underrated. You'll have to get used to saying "No, it's not a ******* TR7" !

Enjoy her.

Regards,

Chris

Hello Gareth...

Great to see another new owner giving extended life to an x19 chassis, it takes people like us to keep these great modern classic cars alive, may your wallet give your exxy much luv and attention, and in return, we are given driving enjoyment which no EV could ever counter.

Actually my x1/9 has been a right B*&t%$d, cost me more than its bloody worth... but I so adore her looks... yes... she is high maintenance, but heck... true love
