Battery query was created by Garry Ursin-smith
Hi. Just wondered what AH battery rating anyone is using on a 1500cc X19. I have a 12v 44AH on mine but read on a site a 60AH is better as has more power and better turnover speed from cold.

Hello Garry
Awhile ago i had the same problem , slowish cranking and maybe a tiring battery , after lots of trawling i found the one i fitted
YUASA 5000
12 V. 54 500.
Bought from Halfords , its designed to fit the x19 , size , terminal orientation and cranks faster

A couple of years ago I invested in an Optima battery and it's been by far the best performer I've had. It's worth doing some research on them. I'd also recommend a battery cut-off switch of you're not using your X1/9 for everyday transport

After a little research some 3 years ago, I decided on the Bosch S4004 075 battery.
It fits my 85 VS just fine and is the biggest that can be fitted in the space.
The S4004 = 4year warranty and the S3 series is 3year, S5 - 5 year etc.
075 is the battery size code, no idea what it means.
That Bosch battery is a : 60Ah. and specs the Cold Cranking Amps at 540
Battery size is - Length: 242mm Width: 175mm Height: 175mm
Not sure about the weight but it must be heavier than the little 063 ones.
