Fuel cap size was created by Neil Ottaway
I thought I'd replace the petrol cap on my 1988 1500 as the seal on the current cap was perishing a little. I bought a new cap from Eurosport but it doesn't seem to fit. I've attached a photo of my fuel tank neck - does everybody else's look like this or is mine different? Thanks!

Hi Neil,
Looks to me like someones fitted an adapter to the original filler neck to fit a locking cap. The original neck has just a large screw thread, the original cap screws on. If you investigate closely you'll probably see that the adapter has been screwed onto the original filler neck and locked somehow, maybe grub screws on the side?
Cheers, Martin
