Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show with Discovery was created by Andy Rowley



It's that time of the year and once again the X1/9 Owners Club will be at the Classic Motor Show.
We've got 3 great cars lined up for display, many thanks to the chaps for agreeing to show their cars.

We'll be in Hall 5 on stand 528.

If you are a club member thinking of coming to the show then please take advantage of the ticket offer on the home page of the website.
Please come and say hello to us, it's always good to put a face to a name :)

cars confirmed for this year's show are:

Jon Plowe's modified hill climb car (now in replica Abarth livery)
Alan Hutton's VS
Neal Gibbon's Lido

Thanks to the above chaps for volunteering their cars. Looking forward to another great show!

I'll be there on the Friday with Char and my folks! Think my Dad will enjoy it- I've got old pictures of the club stand when we last went together 21 years ago!

The classic cars show itself I personally felt wasn’t as good as other years but the owners club stand looked excellent, great choices. The 3 cars really showed the spectrum of x1/9 ownership and all 3 looked fantastic. Compliments to john, Alan and Neal . Nice to chat with Andy too.

I’ve just got home, the car didn’t let me down, I have a bit more confidence in it now. It was a great three days but Im totally cream crackered! I learnt a lot, met some great people and made some new friends. Many thanks Andy for giving me the opportunity to display my car.

All home now. A great weekend. it was good to meet members who attended the show. Always nice to put a face to a name.

Many thanks to Jon, Neal and Alan or bringing along their excellent cars and helping on the stand over the weekend.
Many thanks also to everyone who came along and helped out on the stand as well: Steve, Simon, Mike, Rob & Charlotte, Nick, Andrew, Karl, Mike , Ian and Barrie.

Thanks for inviting me to attend with my wee car.
I really enjoyed the stand and chatting with fellow club members there is so much good cheer and knowledge around.
It was a privilege to be sandwiched between two such well presented cars too. Driving home last night after the show was the first time in 24 years I have driven it in the dark, so glad I did these headlamp relay mods.
I propose a special thanks again to Andy who obviously did a lot of leg work preparing stuff and sorting the logistics, the stand went so smoothly because of this I think.

Now my back and legs are really suffering!
