I was watching Heidi and Franny's Garage on Youtube and Franny mentioned the importance of good seals on the oil filler and dip stick for idling. I did not know this so went and looked at mine. They were both rock hard and not really sealing. I have replaced them and the car seems to be idling better. The new oil filler cap from Eurosport did not seem to fit so I removed its seal and put it in the old cap. Knowing this I would just have made myself a new seal from suitable silicon sheet.
