Practical Classics Classic Car Show 2019 was created by Andy Rowley


Once again we're at the NEC showing off X1/9s to the public :)

There will be 3 cars on the stand this time.

As ever, if you fancy helping out on the stand please contact me. And if you are intending on coming to the show please come and say hello.

Club members can use the ticket offer which can be found on the home page of this site.

You can also come and have a laugh at my expense on the Carole Nash barn finds stand, where my 1300 will hopefully still be approximately X1/9-shaped.

I'll pop round and see you in the barn find area. I am hoping to have a rolling body shell on the stand for this show.

We now have the 3 cars confirmed for the club stand for this show:

Steve Farrall's superb VS (as featured in Classic & Sports Mag last year)
Richard Priest's excellent twin cam conversion
Lastly, my rolling body shell (ex 1300 Lido)

If any members are planning on coming along to the show and can spare some time to help on the stand - spreading the X1/9 love - then please contact me and i should be able to supply you with entry tickets.

We've now completed 2 days with Sunday to go. A few pictures of the show and cars on display.
A slight change to the running order in that Sharon Taylor's "Babe" is now on the stand.:)

We've not been to this Show before .. really enjoyed it !!

A bit saddened to learn that there are some cracking X1/9s twiddling their thumbs for years .. Yearning to be back on the twisty roads B)

On the Up side .. Great to meet so many X1/9 lovers past and present .. Sounds like there are quite a few restorations under way !! :)

Yes I had a great time had a good chat with Andy about his project in the middle of the stand. Hopefully one day when I finish my project it can go to the show.

As a new convert to the world of X1/9 ownership having bought my X1/9 only 5 weeks previously, it was great to meet the friendly and welcoming club members on the stand. Thank you for the very helpful tips and advice.
