Rust proofing

Hi.
Does anyone have experience using a professional rust proofing service for their X1/9? There are quite a few advertising on the web, but they all seem to have variable reviews on different forums or are new companies with little history.
Many thanks
Steve

Hi Stephen, I've not had any experience of professional rust proofing services. You would need to be careful that they are aware of the complexities of the X1/9 structure in order to get in all the awkward box sections that make up the X1/9 chassis.

Nick Troth at P1X 2000 has extensive experience of waxoyling X1/9s and the areas to pay attention to. Might be worth giving him a call?

I assume from your post that you've now acquired and X1/9?

Cheers

Andy

Great news, well done :)

Geoffrey's car was Ziebarted (not sure of spelling) from new and I believe was waxoyled regularly. So you have a good basis to work with there.
