Hello, I don’t have access the the car or manuals at the moment. Can someone tell me where the dashbulb that feeds the fibre optics is located and what bulb it is please.
The black modified car at the National had replaced it with an LED which seems like a good idea.

Thanks.
Richard

Think it is located in the centre console near or just behind the gear lever, no idea of the bulb...

If you have the central console with the square buttons, I think it's behind those buttons.

You might be able to get at it by undoing 4 screws on the console in the foot well and slide it forward a bit.

Have fun

This is were you will find the bulb for the fibre optic lights, just behind the console in front of the gear lever. This little silver bit is were the bulb fits in to.

I hope this helps.

Yep that is where I was talking about.

You probably don't need to go that far with the disassembly before ou change the bulb tho :-)

Ha Ha....yes it was a bit extreme, but I had no choice once i decided to do a full restoration. There's not much I don't no about this car. I even rebuilt the gear box.

Hi Adrian, you need to select a W5W T10 501 led bulb according to Charlie. Punch that into ebay and there are millions of options

Yes, David duckenfield did it to his car ( he’s in this month’s magazine with cleanest engine prize). It seems to work well which is why I was asking where the holder was.

I think the photo shows a bannet fitting, not the push fit of W5W T10 501

I just remembered I replaced this wiring during the summer. The pictures show the connector end and the bulb fitting and bulb detail if its of any use.

I have no power to this bulb, dash board lights ok, bulb ok, connections cleaned.
Is there a fuse or relay that could be at fault?
this happened after i inserted a faulty LED (ebay both wires folded over so shorted circuit.)
