Does any one have any recent practical experience of magnet type electronic ignition? My points seem to work well but all sorts of claims are made for electronic types. Also prices seem to be all over the place, £150 for Pertronix down to £35 for Accuspark. They all seem to be a sensor and a magnet.
I tried one from Accuspark (I think) last year or the year before.
It managed to trigger the spark when the rotor arm was between 2 contacts in the distributor cap.
I could not be bothered to faff about finding a different rotor arm. Whoever it was I bought it from, really couldn't be arsed to sort it so I wrote it off to experience.
