Hi guys,

Today I got delivered a clamp to hold my battery in place and the black plastic battery cover along with the funny bolts.

Can some please tell me how the battery is held in place.

Mine sits on a plastic tray with two drain holes but I can't find a hole where the clamp would bolt to.

The battery cover fits onto the two thread bars. One of the special nuts is fine but the other doesn't fit as the thread is too thick.
The thick thread itself I think is just a 13 mm nut and bolt. I loosened the but and the thread came loose. I think its an aftermarket fix done wrong.
I'd be happy to put it right if I had something to copy but this is how I got the car.

So, how is the battery secured and does anybody know what size thread the special bolts need to hold the battery cover in place.

Many thanks

Jason

Here are a few pictures of the battery set up.
The clamp holds the tray and battery in place. There are no other fixings for the tray. Obviously the tubes for the drain holes poke down through the bodywork under the tray.
The last picture shows the area with the tray removed and and the clamp still in place.
