Anyone know what boss I would need to fit the X1/9? Mountney don't list it- should I assume it's the same as the 128?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThe boss kits are listed to fit the 124, 128, Stratos! and X1/9 on ebay.

I purchased one of these for a momo pattern 124 Spider steering wheel.


Is good quality for the price. Obviously not for Mountney wheels though...
Who needs 4th gear anyway...

Andrew, just to let you know I bought a boss adapter from eBay enabling you to use Momo, Nardi, OMP or Sparco steering wheels on the existing boss. I had to cut the 12mm flange off the existing boss. New wheel feels great and more knee room. Adapter was £18.50 and steering wheel £10 from Gumtree.

Thinking back - I had to remove the steering column cowl plastic trim to fit mine - is this what you mean Mark?

I got this 124 sport wheel from US ebay for about £30-40. Its a little larger than the original but I like the look. I mainly changed it as the leather was tired on the original VS wheel. Will probably change back eventually... when I re-trim it.

Who needs 4th gear anyway...

I didn't need to touch the plastic cowl as the existing boss was used :)

Hi Mark

What steering wheel did your car have? I'm sure my 85 didn't have an existing boss? It had the early style steering wheel.

Hi Mark,

I have an OMP Corsica steering wheel which I want to fit to give me more space from my legs, can you be more precise on the ebay adaptor required? Is that 12mm flange section your talking about to locate the original steering wheel??

Hi Stuart, the adaptor i bought off ebay is Item number... 151822737092
You need to cut off the flange from your existing boss to fit flush ( later models have boss )
I haven't worked out how to connect horn yet on mine, i will get round to that at some stage.
