Washer Reservoir was created by Andrew Sinclair

Anyone know what the cut-out section is for? (seen on the right in this pic) There is obviously something to fit in there, but I don't know what... :huh:

I've always wondered what it was for.

It may be that the reservoir was used on another vehicle in the range and required the motor or whatever to be fitted there.

Is it right that the Italian Govt restricted the manufacturers to only use Italian suppliers?

No idea what the hole is for...

Who needs 4th gear anyway...

I agree, headlamp wash. I've got no evidence to support it but it was a legal requirement in scandanavian countries way back, hence all those Volvos and Saabs with tiny headlamp wipers! If Fiat wanted to sell in those countries I suspect they would have had to have fitted it. Not sure how they would get the daytime running lights though... permanently raised headlights? Any Swedish exxy owners out there?
