New Engine Cover was created by David Moult
I have just taken the car for a drive after modifying the engine cover and it runs much cooler, 80.
The photos show the modification with B&Q steel mesh, an angle grinder and some big pop rivets.
At last the hot air can escape.

Won't your engine get wet in the rain. Or does it not go out in rain?

It does go out in the rain. The coil is under cover all the time. I don't think rain will get in or harm it while driving and for parking in the rain I could just cover the slots with foam plugs. Overall I think the benefits outweigh the problems especially of hot starting in summer.
