New classic Fiat classified site :) was created by Lee Griffiths
Hi all,
Long time X1/9 and general Fiat fan (approaching 30 years and always had a Fiat or two). I've set up a new classified site just for 70s/80s Fiats in the hope of getting all the content in one modern and easily searchable place.
Please take a look and consider placing an ad
The site will always be free for private and business ads.

Hi Lee,
I will place a listing later today. I deal in used and classic cars and we currently have a very nice 500L for sale.
Would you consider hosting adverts for the odd modern Fiat too?
Thank you for the facility.
ETA: The user interface is very easy. The only issue I had was the need to reduce the size of the photos added, but that may be limited due to the storage facility on the server?

Hi John,
Thanks for the comments and glad you found it easy to use. For a classified site like this I'd say you images don't need to be more than 500Kb each really as they will be automatically scaled to look sensible on the interface.
I don't have any issues listing more modern Fiats. What kind of ages are you talking about ? I can add a new category to hold these. This is the beauty of using clearly defined categories.

Hi Lee
Your answer on the photos make sense. The photos produced by modern cameras are ever more sophisticated and each picture takes up more and more memory as the technology gets better. Purely an observation though and no great hardship to resize. Had I taken the photos with my phone as most people will do, I suspect the size would fall within the 2.1mb limit.
We do have the odd modern Fiat 500/Panda/Punto and Abarth's passing through our doors, I will be selling my Mums 2 year old 500 very soon - Grandchild forces sale!
Have you placed similar posts on other Fiat club forums to raise awareness? I haven't had chance to look at the others yet.
The platform you are using to upload information and photos is very similar to that used by carandclassic, which is also very user friendly and therefore familiar to many classic car sellers, which is certainly no bad thing and makes it easy to copy and paste.
