Getting the new bushes in is easy, getting the old ones out can be a real pain. I've found an effective way to remove old bushes is to find a socket exactly the same size as the diameter of the old bush/hole in the control arm and rig and then rig up a piece of threaded rod through the hole. Put nuts/washers on each end as well as a bigger socket on one end and then you can wind the old bush out. If possible soak for at least a day in easing oil. You can cut the bushes in half with a hack saw through the hole but its easy to damage the control arm.

Hi Keith,
I've just done this job last week. After snapping thread trying to get them out at home I used the press at my work which made it a doddle. I would recommend popping down your local garage to see if you can get them to do yours or invest in a press at home. I've seen them go for about £50 online.
