YES - I've just been informed that I have an entry for Saturday La Vita Rossa, watch for number 35. I will be running the car in A1 production class rather than Modified C1 at this event as it is not part of the HSA championship so I will not be running slicks. Fortunately my last year's Avon ACB10 tyres have enough life for this event. I am running in the same group as The Beast and my pit area (lower paddock) will be close by as well so I hope to get some good photos of the X1/9 and the Beast.
I see Jon also has a drive as well in a different group so there will be 2 X1/9s on the hill. Let's hope for good weather, should be a cracking event!

Also very happy to see my name on the entry list - two X1/9's competing at once, not to be missed
. Hopefully I'll have the new brakes fitted by then and so stand a chance of stopping before the getting to close to the scenery.
Martin, are you going to the Owen sprint at Curborough?

Frantic work still going on to get the car ready for the weekend. It still looks a total disaster:
but I am fairly confident it will come together in time. The car hasn't turned a wheel since the last event at Curborough on 8th October so literally it's first run will be off the start line Saturday morning. The biggest change so far this season is totally new suspension - it's adjustable in every way so the first set-up is going to be a bit of a guess.

Just spoken to a very helpful chap at Bugatti OC. Looks like Martin will be on around 9.30am and Jon around 11am, both Saturday.
We can get on site from 7am but eta around 9am should be OK with not too many queues (necessary as my temp gauge has just gone belly up). Its fine if we meet nearby beforehand and arrive in convoy. At least 4 cars are travelling down Friday.

Wonderful weekend. 6 cars on our stand plus Martin and Jon on the hill. Weather was fantastic and the atmosphere and people so friendly.

Generally a great day with a fantastic variety of cars, great crowd and of course some X1/9's and their owners stealing the show
. My car is continuing to get faster as I get to grips with the set up. Problems with the engaging second gear and the lack of enough braking is holding me back a bit but generally really enjoying throwing the car around. I was expecting to beat my PB after very goof practice times but a breakdown in the timing gear meant only one timed run. The brakes and gearbox will have to suffice for the next couple of meetings until I get a break in July when I can swap things around.
