Yes, not sure when the lollipops came in, earlier cars have the bracket as you describe. I don't think you can retrofit the lollipop without the matching later shift rod.
Well that seems to have sorted the gear change. The front bolt bush was renewed also the rear two bolts were found to have no washers.
Nice and tight and the gears change fine.
