Apologies if there is a specific section for this but just wanted to say hi to everyone having just bought an X1/9 for the first time after a few years of looking on and off.
Having been left stranded at the roadside after barely a week I now feel suitably initiated and back to the joys of Fiat ownership after a few years break.
I'm sure I will be on here often, begging for advice/sympathy.
Car is the one in my avatar, a 1988 1500 and I'm looking forward to many years of exploring the roadsides and lay-bys of the UK.

Hi Grant,
There aren't too many white cars in the Club, did you buy this one from Scotland? F240 XWT?
If so it's Blanche!!
I owned her for 17 years up until December 2010 and then she went north of the border.
I'm sorry to hear she's disgraced herself
Of course, you might want to call her by a different name, that's ok!
I'm in Huddersfield and hope to see you at some of our mutually local shows, maybe Prestatyn on Bank Holiday Monday?
Juliet

Hi Juliet,
Sadly its not that one, its E196 ABA, it seems to have mainly lived around the Wirral from what I can tell.
I do hope to start getting to a few shows as soon as we're up and running again!

Do consider joining our little club (if you haven't already, there's a fine young chap up in Scotland who spends the entire day staring at his front doormat in anticipation of new Club applications landing on it) and, especially, sending in an article about your experiences to our magazine.
I was going to say "...including all the bodges made by the previous owner" but that appears not to be the case.

Thanks everyone, back up and running now and had an excellent blast around the high peaks in the sunshine today.
Prestatyn show is I believe full now but I'll be sure to make it along to the next event, what's next on the list?
Also I've joined the club now, am sure I'll be needing all the help I can get if previous Fiat experiences are anything to go by.

Have you tried applying for Prestatyn? Always worth a punt.
Next one is the Italian Masters in Stafford on 14 June, Andy Rowley is going to that one, and I quite fancy it too. After that it's Summertime Classics on 28 June at Stamford Hall near Leicester. I can't make that as I'm in the Canaries
Catch up with you soon.

I got into Prestatyn earlier this week. Tim the organiser is really good at responding to emails, even when it was definitely too late, like last year. Mind you that was the day before.
The details are in the magazine you just got through joining, but as I could understand you being distracted through being spellbound by the superb editing, I'll put the address of it here:

Email and mobile are on that page.
