Though I would share a couple of photos. First is from the opening round of the SBD HSA championship at Castle Combe and the other from last weeks Loton Park hillclimb. Waiting to meet up with Jonathan Plowe at a round so there will be 2 X19 competing in the same event (different classes as I have dropped my capacity to 1396cc). Gordon Fogarty is out hillclimbing in NI so watch out for him to. 2 and 3 May I'm competing at Shelsley Walsh so come along and have a chat.

Looking good :) Other commitments have meant that my first event will either be Snetterton on the Sunday the 17th May or Curborough on the 14 June. I am hoping to do Barbon and Harewood on the same weekend if all goes well. It would be great to get two X19's at the same venue

Craigantlet hill-climb here in Belfast this weekend.

Held On the roads up the hill just beside the Stormont Parliament Buildings.

This event is Part of the British Hillclimb Championships so plenty of fast single seaters over from the mainland.

Fiat x1/9 hillclimb car (competition modded)
Fiat X1/9 road car (basically standard)
Alfa Romeo Giulietta Cloverleaf
Porsche 911 (996)

I've sent my entry off for Curborough on the 14th June. The track is near Litchfield and well worth attending as they are running the figure 8 layout. Probably the cheapest entry for the competitor and I think it's free to spectate. Great chicken curry and chips at lunch :P
Also entered Harewood (Yorkshire) on the 5th July. Another great track and fantastic viewing for the spectator. It's a round of the British Championship and so some very very fast and loud single seaters going up the hill.
Are you going to any of those Martin?

I can't make it to Curborough or Harewood unfortunately :( I think I will do the following: Prescott 27/28June, Wiscombe 25/26 July, Loton 9 August, Thoresby 12/13 Sept and Shelsley 19 Sept.
What about you?

I'll be at Loton on the 9th August (one of my favourites) . The Sunday 13th Sept at Thoresby. Shelsley on the 19th Sept and it's always worth going to the end of year at Curborough on the 10th October. Re' Shelsley if you have not already I would get your entry in asap as it is very popular, but having said that an X1/9 is always going to get the place over a Locaterfield.
I like Prescott but find the all weekend events very long with little activity for the driver as they have such a large entry.

I really enjoyed Loton Park and looking forward to the re-match with a little more power and fully sorted suspension. I just looked at the class records and realise that I was only 0.5 seconds of the record at Shelsley last weekend which is not bad considering that I am still running a fairly standard engine. I am already registered for Shelsley. My full race engine will probably be only fitted ready for next season which is a shame but I get chance to learn the car and tracks at a slightly slower pace.
