THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER. Just changed mine and inadvertently cross threaded one of the pipe unions into one of the supersoft alloy blocks, so had too dismantle it all again to change the union block. So in future hand tight all unions before you put the pedal box back. MY LESSON LEARNT.

Yes, it would be foolish not to do and you're tempting sods law if you don't change it. I also had to change the slave cylinder as well because the bleed nipple was completely rusted on, so one part change ends up three.

But replacing the accelerator cable at that end must get at least an honourable mention...

While you're down there, you've got to include the heater valve.....

How does one locate the end of the throttle cable outer? Cut a hole in the tunnel??? It's impossible!?

Who needs 4th gear anyway...

It's years since I did the accelerator cable, but I seem to remember using a small G clamp to compress the spring (with many failures), so I could use the one hand I could get to it to put the pin thing in, and then release the spring. All with your shoulders on the floor mat and legs sticking out of the top.

There's a method written up here, as it happens: www.mirafiori.com/faq/content/x19-throtte.html

Let us know how you get on. Preferably in a magazine article format. :)
