Electric fuel pump was created by cameron

Hi , I have just fitted an electric fuel pump to my VS but it is one of those permanent ones and not one linked to the oil pressure switch. I was just wondering is there a major difference in the way the engine runs between the two like fuel economy or fuel mixture.

Please excuse the upside down picture, it appears the right way up on the iPad but upside down on the forum. Weird.

It will make no difference to the way the engine runs. Its just in an emergency or oil pressure loss, wiring via the oil pressure switch offers some limited safety protection. For fuel pump off after an accident an inertia switch is better as the engine may still be running.

Best to get at least one cut-off in place, I did both on mine - its only a few relays. There is a wiring diagram from Racheal on here somewhere to do the job.
