Hello All,

For your information – I’ve just had a new plaque made for my car. The company I used couldn’t make a vinyl one for a ‘one off’ but they’ve made two copies on thin aluminium plates one with a brushed aluminium background the other white. I’ve had to bend the plaque slightly to match the curve of the wing. I’m not sure how they will last but I think they look ok.

They cost £8.00 each plus vat from West Riding Engravers Limited in Leeds (0113 243 9156). I understand that now they’ve got the it on file they can do others with different numbers.

That looks excellent Keith. I'm just in the process of making a replica of mine at the moment as it was damaged when the previous owner had the car re-sprayed. Did you create the image/vector file yourself?

There's a place locally that I'm hoping will be able to make mine in vinyl - they've just made me some of the special series ladder decals as they were totally lost in the paint job I mentioned. I'll post some pictures once I get them on OTTO. :)

Thanks for the info - much appreciated.
All the best,
Em.

Hi Em,

The company used my original plaque which I managed to peel off and flatten out. They then scanned it and then repaired the image. The silver background on my original had almost disappeared, as this was a first for them I think that's why they tried two different backgrounds.
