1.3 FINALLY BOUGHT

1.3 FINALLY BOUGHT was created by Matt
After a false start in buying a 1.3 last year, I finally managed to buy one this week...its a 78 'S' very solid structure, fantastic sharp wheel arches, rusty door bottoms and badly re trimmed seats. The car is red but I think it was originally green, however I am going to cut the rot out and let new metal in where required, then repaint it in a period fiat orange. A few questions:
I have seen decal kits (ie ladder stickers etc) for sale in the USA, anyone know a uk supplier that does good quality ones?
I have seen pics of Lido models with front fog lamps fitted, where these standard on 1.3s? Where could I get a pair?
Anyone got a nice pair of 1.3 seats for sale or is the material available anywhere?
Thankls
Matt

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationCongrats on joining the 1300 ranks! Was it this car perchance?
Yes fog lights were standard fitment on UK spec 1300s - they were made by Carello, but they are getting harder to track down now and unfortunately these fog lights are also used on other period exotica such as Lambos etc which has pushed prices up... I have also seen Lucas square 8 fogs fitted which are a good sympathetic alternative. Its just a matter of searching ebay etc for a set.
Original material is nigh on impossible to find, you'd be best off trying to find someone breaking a car and buying secondhand seats, or having them retrimmed with an alternative fabric.

Hi All
Thanks for the replies:
Jim thats the car, I paid less than that figure for it though...TBH it wasnt quite as good on the body as the description, however the wheel arches are perfect so that saves time and £££s, its a good structural base to make a nice car though which is what I wanted.
Michael....thank you for the tip off re the ladder kit, I have managed to find a set of genuine second hand corellos today so will go with them.
Seat runners intact so will keep my eyes open for a nice set of original stripped seats (if any exist), if not I will have to look at re trimming a set
