If you ever get the chance to go to the Blyton Park Drivers Centre for a track day then I would recommend you take the opportunity. You think it is a bit uninspiring at first glance but it is a great drivers venue. Having said that I failed miserably in the driving bit as soon after arriving for the weekends sprint one of the gearbox/engine mount fixing bolts fell out and the other sheared off meaning a wonky engine and a distinct lack of gears below third.
We are still going strong in the HSA championship and the progress with the car is rapid. After fitting yet stronger springs on the front I have just about cured the understeer and the car feels very balanced. My main competition in the HSA, a Honda S2000, unfortunately hit the armco barriers after the finish at Harewood and caused quite a lot of damage to the rear of his car and so I don't know if he will be back out this year. I'm back out on the 7th September at Loton Park, or at a pinch Gurtson Down on the 25th August, in the meantime will be giving the car a good checking over to prevent similar disappointments
