1983 silver over black VS
New member was created by David Eden
Hi all,
I'm David and live in Newcastle upon Tyne. I've just joined and am yet to become an owner but hoping that will change in the next 12 months or so. I've always loved X1/9s and have longed to own one for the last 20 years but the time has never been quite right! Having waited that long I'm willing to be patient to find the right one, although they really seem to be becoming quite rare these days.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello to everyone, looking forward to chatting to you all and hopefully meeting you too.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I'm not in a position just yet to buy (need to save some money first) but am hoping to be buying this time next year. I thought I would join the club in the meanwhile and make some new friends and get the lowdown in advance. Thanks for the tip off Rob, might give you a shout further down the line if that's ok. Ryan, good luck with selling yours, she looks great. Ideally I would be looking for an early VS too. I had thought the low line two tones were only available in silver and red in the uk, I know they did yellow and white too. Is that the original colour scheme? Cheers, David

Meant to ask, are there any other members around the Newcastle area? Would be great to meet some fellow enthusiasts.
