Hi Kev, I don't know yet it depends on how Hometune do on Saturday. Whilst I'm going to advertise it as a restoration project I feel that its overall condition isn't too bad and hopefully it should be running again at the weekend.

Hello Jack,

Yes, after three hours the Hometune guy got it running again but only for a few moments. The timing needs resetting and he thinks it needs a new needle valve in the carburettor as it was flooding petrol over the engine (he got it going without the air filter housing being on the car). However, due to the heavy rain showers and being late for another customer he had to go but he's coming back next Saturday. I'll put an update on as soon as I can.

A ballpark £ notes figure would help the sale Keith?

There was a white 1300 on 'Car and Classic' last year that was advertised at £3,500, I don't know the actual sale price and it looked to be in better condition than mine. I was thinking in the region of £2,750 - £2,950. If it gets fixed on Saturday I may consider getting the windscreen replaced and taking it for its MOT. However, my daughter doesn't want me to sell it now so I may have to sell the 1300 that I bought to replace it. I've only got space for one.

Hello All,

The Hometune guy got my car going again yesterday. I think my earlier valuation was a little too high, so now I'm going advertise it for £1,950 which will include a reclaimed windscreen. If anyone would like any further information then please let me know.
