Got out on the road for the first time this year! Started ok after 5 months hibernation, no leak patches on the garage floor, all levels good, even the brakes ok (all that copperslip does work!)

out for an hour roof off round the berkshire downs - despite the light blizzard!

Looking forward to more and to France.

Exceelent Andrew.

I also took mine out last week for the first time, but alas mine did leave a did leave a calling card of oil on the floor, it appears to be coming from around the gearbox/bell housing so not sure what it could be !

I thought at first it was the clutch slave cyinder but that is new and apears all dry, so a little more investigation is required when this b****y weather warms up :)

I hadn't started mine for a number of months, and after fitting a new battery last November no suprise it was flat so a quick jump was required and all burst into life and ticked over beautifully.

Bring on the sunsine :cheer:

I got out in mine about 4 weeks ago, but since then there seems to be a ton of salt on every road around my parts.
I darent take her out again for fear of having to sweep her up next week! :P

Great going topless in the cold tho isnt it? (behave! :cheer: )

I know what you mean about the salt, but having spent the equivalent of a small mortage on underseal and waxoil this winter hopfully I not going to have to worry about breaking out the yard broom for a few years ;) she's well protected (I hope).

I am going to have to look into where she is leaking, back up on the ramps just as the weather is turning warmer !!! :(

I've used mine virtually everyday since I bought it in November. Fantastic fun & tbh it's been the only thing in my garage, I've been able to get off the street in during the heavy snow.

I went for a spin after the last post I made & it's the first time I've been out with the lid off, utterly brilliant & I think an even better drive, cos you don't get any of the creaking from the roof rubbers. :)

Had mine serviced and thought ready to go about two weeks ago.

Took it for a spin yesterday afternoon....roof off heater on. 10 mins into a great drive .....oh no wet shoes and a very soggy carpet.

New heater valve and matrix ordered, puts thing back a bit.....never mind!!

Gareth, that appears to be a bit of a nasty job to do having noticed that I also have a few drips from the thingy that turns the warm air on thats beside the matrix.

I noticed water on the foot rest, its not bad yet but no doubt will need doing, yet another leak to sort out

As mentioned I already have a very slight leak coming off the bell housing, its clean oil so guess there is a gasket needed somewhere thought it was the clutch slave but thats all dry, i'm not bothering with it for now as the engine is coming out next winter for a total overhaul.

Don't you just love the Exxy ;) full of surprises.

Although not as complex as my Citroen XM, the French certainly know how to make things difficult

Hi Nigel

Good to hear from you.

Just keep an eye on your coolant level.....it's surprising how much is lost in a very short time.

All the best

Gareth.
