Wandering around on the web I discovered a reference to the X1/9 having "passive rear steering" via "Cordiano struts". Anyone know what does this means in real terms?

Sounds like a dodgy term about fat bottom directions for people on the other bus.

Cordiano struts are just another name for MacPherson struts.

The passive steering comes from track change as the body rolls (inside wheel shifts to the outside, outside wheel shifts further out) the result is the car wants to turn more. This is countered slightly by the resulting camber change and weight shift to the outside wheel.
