So the National meet location was proposed by Rob Croskell (on his door step), no-one offered another location, and the rest of you all agreed without giving other options for further discussion with the rest of the members.
Am I correct?

correct but also incorrect...its a proposal and also open to debate. Just like most things when we are all busy with work etc its a round to it job.
No doubt Rob will want to comment but i have no problem opening up a thread to debate it.

Good man Terry, I thought this location was set in stone?. Its about time things where disgused openly with the rest of the 300 or so members...And no point in starting another thread, Rob can comment on this one.

Presumably it is a double edged sword in that if it is on your doorstep then you have to do most of the donkey work in organising it!?

Having been involved with other car clubs the location of the national is forever going to be a contentious issue. It will allways be on someones door step and be allways too far for others.
The only way of sorting this issue for ever is a location in the centre of this island and have it there forever. It will still be on someones doorstep and be too far for some. Another way is for each of the regions to organise it in turn, that way its fair for all.
