That one has been for sale for ages. Look like the same photos that the seller used on autotrader . If money was no object I'd buy in a flash but It's way over priced for a regular enthusiast in my opinion. 6-7 grand tops

Went down to see the car today but it's not at the showroom at the moment. Spoke to the owner and it turns out that its got a few rust bubble on the door bottoms and arches, so I reckon thats a very optomistic asking price.

You would have thought for that price they would have had more photos........no real close ups and nothing of the interior.

If thats the case and with metallic paint that old wont it need the bubbles fixed and an external respray ? plus theres the ladder decal to sort - suddenly looks more like 3 to 4k!

Yes, I reckon its a £4.5-5k car that needs another £2k for paint. You would have a lovely car when painted but you couldn't really call it original after that.

I'm keen to see this, though it does seem a bit steeply priced.

Lets put this into perspective... 10K wouldn't even buy you a modern boring Ford Fiesta or Hyundai i20 or similar these days! Which in a couple of years would only be worth a couple of grand. While this X1/9 it can only go up in value. A lot. Original 1300's are seriously rare, and will only get rarer. Having the luggage and paperwork is a big bonus too.
The car does look in great nick from the limited photos, all the trim looks present and correct. Only thing that detracts from the originality from what I can see in the pictures is the black sills... these should be body colour, so it does pose the possibility that the sills have been replaced. Its all very well speculating on a forum, but someone knowledgeable needs to see it and go through it with a fine tooth comb then true conclusions can be drawn up. I am sure if a serious buyer turned up with cash a deal could be struck a fair bit below the asking price.
On the flip side, I bet if someone like 4 star classics got hold of it and did a minimal bit of sprucing up and took some photos of it in a studio against a white canvas sheet from all angles, and included shots of the paperwork fanned out and the luggage strategically placed on the seats they'd sell it in no time for the full asking price!
