Electric Windows

Ok I have done the christmas tree earthing under the dash, cleaned the lift switches, greased the cable wheels and lubricated the seals but still the drivers window is painfully slow at rising.
Any ideas please or is this a new motor required and does anybody do a reconditioned one?
I have adjusted the stops and they now close under the roof seal at least.
Passenger side is better at going up but still very slow.
It's great at going down of course.
Cheers
Will

Hi Will,

I sprayed Armor All in the window channel/guides as apparently the silicone it contains is the ideal lubricant. Be warned though if you are planning to have any paintwork done on your car the bodyshop will not be happy when it comes to spraying your pride and joy - they hate the stuff.
I also took the switches to bits and cleaned the contacts and all was well - they just seemed to improve with use after that.

Cheers Chris.
