About to start my Project was created by Larcen Hydra
Hokay quick background, im 27 the car belonged to my grandad and he had it from new so this car has been part of my life since i was born, it has been sat around for at least 17 years (in a garage) and it has been my mission to get it back on the road as good as or better than new (hopefully better) after some complicated family politics and wasted money by people that decided to pull rank on me they have finally given up and gone with my grandads wishes and handed it to me... so as you can imagine i will not be giving up on this car its a Silver 1500 interior needs attention but the metalwork is pretty clean. so im sure im gonna be on here a lot asking advice

Hi Larcen,
I hope you're not too flooded in Gloucestershire? I was up in Worcestershire the other day and the Avon was very high, but still 2m short of the floods in 2007, I was there then too.
The car looks like a great project, have you done this sort of thing before?
I can see that it's had some good mods done to it like having Lumenition fitted, which is a great start to resolving running issues.
I can also see that at least one of the headlights needs attention, this is fairly easy fix and normally just requires the replacement of the diode on the back of the lift motor.
The horn is also typically a straight forward fix.
What level of restoration are you looking to do, engine out, full bare metal respray, you mention removing the rear sail trim in one of your pictures?
We'd love to know more about the car and I'm sure we'll be able to help you get it running in quick time.
Regards, Ian

only mod it had done was some rally lights cos my granddad all ways said the headlights weren't powerful enough.
and yes the light needs sorting.
as for what level, yes full engine out stripped to shell and respray will mod the engine see what i can get out of it, also plan to make a new dashboard, doing to make it a complete 1 off i have little experience doing this sort of thing but ive been driving 7 years had many cars and only gone to a garage to fix something i dont have the tools for.. (i have more tools now) i learn quickly and have been preparing to do this project for 15 years and have tried to learn everything i can
but the list includes remote locking, electric windows. do something about the rear lights. probably make some LED ones. fabricate air intakes (i dont like the kit one that sits in the middle)
this is a labor of love and will take my time with it to make it the car it may have become if they continued the model
