I knew one day I would be back... was created by John Denton
After a good few years without an X19, I heard about one for sale a few weeks ago that was too good to miss and bought the car there and then. It is a 1982 car, silver with cream vinyl 1500, 1 previous owner, 38,000 miles. The car is almost rust free, having been waxoyled from new and has obviously lived a sheltred life. I will post a few pictures once I figure out how to.
My old car went the way of the scrap man
The last meet I attended was the Welsh national in 2006??? where my tent got destroyed and all the rain probably added to the rusty downfall of my old car. I replaced the car with another love of mine, the Fiat Coupe, but always promised myself another Exxy...
I visited the club stand at the NEC yesterday, reacquainted myself with Andy (good to see you again) and I hope to get along to a few meets in the car next year.
I picked up a membership form yesterday so I will be joining the club again in the near future, and no doubt asking you guys a few technical questions about a few gremlins on this one that I didnt experience on my old one.

Welcome back to the world of X1/9s John. I think we might have been next door to you in Wales - I remember well the pile of poles and canvas! Hope you get a lot of fun from your new car.
By the way, just use the Add File and the Insert buttons under the box where you write your text to add images. Look forward to seeing some pics.

As promised, here are a few pictures. The wheels and tyres have since been replaced by the ones I had on my old car (same style) which has tidied her up somewhat. The reflective door bump stop things have been removed too
The eagle eyed will notice the only area of rust, visible near the bottom rear of the drivers door, but that's about all that I have found so far.
ETA - Not sure why only 1 photo has appeared??? Is there a size limit per post?
